The Women Leading In Local is comprised of both BIA/Kelsey leadership as well as an Advisory Board which together create a team of dedicated woman uniquely equipped to lead and guide Women Leading in Local. Their passion is to provide networking and professional development opportunities for women in the media, advertising and marketing industries.
Celine Matthiessen is the V.P. of Analytics and Insights at BIA/Kelsey and has over 15 years of experience in competitive intelligence with a deep background in marketing and advertising. Previously, Matthiessen was a group manager of Competitive Intelligence at SuperMedia, where she established and managed a formal competitive intelligence department that supported a 4,000-member sales force and over 500 employees in marketing, strategy, sales training, IT, business development and investor relations.
MacKenzie Lovings is the vice president of marketing at BIA/Kelsey and is responsible for the strategic development and tactical implementation of their corporate positioning, product marketing and public relations. She also leads a marketing and communications team and the marketing of BIA/Kelsey’s conferences, tradeshows, and sales lead generation.
Nanci Karas is the Executive Director of Conference Sales and Management for BIA/Kelsey and produces top industry events for senior executives in the digital media, advertising, and marketing arena. She has more than 20 years of experience managing nearly every aspect of conference planning and production.
The Women Leading In Local Advisory Board is comprised of women who work in local media and advertising. They are an active voluntary board that is committed to women in the media and marketing industries and assisting them in advancement through Women Leading In Local programs, activities professional development and mentoring programs.
Bernadette Coleman is the founder and CEO of Advice Interactive Group, a three time award-winning Inc. 500 digital agency. She has authored multiple eBooks, the most recent two being The Complete How-To Guide for Local Citation Audit & Clean Up and An Introduction to Social Media Marketing eBook: A Guide for Small Businesses. Bernadette has been actively involved in digital marketing with an emphasis on local SEO since 2001. Within her organization, she focuses on developing enthusiastic and innovative teams to research, create and develop exciting digital marketing strategies for their clients.
Faith Murphy is the Director of Channel Management and Reseller Network at Yahoo. She’s currently leading a team of industry experts who work closely with partners selling locally driven advertiser products to small-medium businesses across the Americas. Faith has over 12 years of experience in search engine marketing, with a background in business development, client management, optimization strategies and analytics.
Fran Wills is currently Chief Marketing Officer for The Dallas Morning News where she leads the company’s marketing strategy and brand management for their online and offline channels. Mrs. Wills is responsible for both consumer and business-to-business marketing. In her role, she is charged with engaging consumers across The News’ portfolio of products and developing solutions for clients that fulfill their marketing objectives and deliver results. Mrs. Wills has also led the vision and strategy for the interactive division, including marketing, product development and P&L management.
